    Ojai Valley Golf and Spa located in the Ojai Valley about 2 hours from Los Angeles. I visited in September and played 5 rounds of golf. The course was magnificent. It is well-groomed and immaculately kept. The lay-out requires accurate distances to score well but gives the higher handicap golfer real-estate to bail out but with a penalty. George C. Thomas Jr. designed the golf course. He also designed Bel Air Counrty Club and Riviera.The course was restored to its original layout in 2004 along with the inn itself. placing it ever more firmly amongst California's great historic landmarks. I was on my way to Hawaii and considered this a decompression stop. I�ll be going back with Ojai as my destination.
